Summary:

You just moved to a city and made your first friend: a friendly neighbour from your apartment building named Yuka. You both hit it off, but will you end up as just friends, or more?

There are 2 endings to the story, but it's more about the journey than the destination! Friendly Favours is inspired by the "wholesome" tag of slice-of-life doujinshis and anime. Learn about the main character and Yuka, their stories, and what draws them together!

Future VNs:

Friendly Favours is the first visual novel completed by novice solo developer, ParkGDev (that's me!). It is also the first VN in an anthology of planned stories that will be developed in the future.

My aim is to create short yet sweet VNs, with meaningful stories and characters.

This project is meant to be completely free, with no exclusive in-game contents. But, any support will help me make better and more polished VNs in the future. You can donate or be a patron, and watch as the project grows.

Any constructive feedback will be very much appreciated! Cheers!

Wonderful story. Cute art. Great start for a first game. Looking forward to future work. I can't do Patreon, but if you ever set up a SubscribeStar I would be happy to back.

Hey Jamie! Thanks for the encouragement! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Please do look forward to the new VN! You can follow its update on my Patreon, you don't need to subscribe/donate or register to see the posts, as my posts are often publicly visible.

I'm a hobbyist and my progress isn't as fast as I'd like it to be, but I'm happy to receive every little encouragement out there, so thank you so much!

Hey there, I just released another VN, a standalone follow up to this one. I hope you'll try it out as well! <3

This game was great so far. More options would definitely improve the experience because people love interactive games but great start still.

Very nice, specially considering it's your first project. Tone, drawings and ambientation fit nicely. I'm not very much into these kind of stories but enjoyed it.

I think a little customization of the generic renpy GUI and a little more interaction could make the difference from good to great. Consider it for your next projects.

Thank you for the feedback! I'm especially thrilled to hear that you enjoyed it despite the story not being up your alley. It is a pleasant surprise to me!

I tried my best to not be overly ambitious for this first project, as the aim was to build a good foundation as a novice VN developer. So it's a rather simple VN. But I hope I made up to the  with a (hopefully) meaningful story with a lot of love poured into creating it.

You're right and I definitely agree that the look of the GUI plays a huge part at making a game looks more polished and professional. First impression is indeed very important. I've been spending the post-release period to delve more into Renpy UI customization. Future updates will hopefully include visually improved UI.

Thanks again for the feedback! I'm looking forward to apply them for my next projects
